If it can be said in 10 words, we want to use 500. I am guilty of this myself. Even here on this blog....
Case in point, I was going to write this very long involved post about the AA slogan, "Keep It Simple, Stupid" or "KISS" and how important it is for us to simplify our lives in order to stay clean... blah, blah, blah.
But that would defeat the point entirely. So, let me just boil it down to the bare bones for you...
Don't overcomplicate shit. It makes your life crazy.
Try to simplify. I know it's hard. But do it anyway.
Be honest with yourself about what you really NEED. Get rid of the other stuff.
You'll find your life is SO much easier.

Anonymous24 here. This was one of the most important things I ever learned in recovery and, like you, I don't always do it perfectly. I do keep trying and I know I'm less crazed when I do.
